Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The Journal of Buddhist Philosophy is committed to publishing academically rigorous scholarship through a peer review process. We actively encourage, consider, and publish works from scholars with different institutional affiliations, different nationalities, and at different stages of their academic careers. We are aware of the racial and gender biases endemic to the field of philosophy as a whole and Buddhist philosophy in particular, and we encourage submissions from scholars who have been minoritized in our field due to race, ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, and ability.

We encourage our contributors to engage with and cite diverse sources, and we expect all of our contributors to be aware of issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion when engaging with the work of other scholars.
